Left this morning at 5:30 from the top of the mountain and the hike was pretty much downhill all day. I met up with Nick from Clarksville Tennessee and we walked together the full six hours. The time went by very quickly.

We walked most of the time in the dark, and it was a full moon, absolutely beautiful, and no need to use or spotlights. Again we walked by several houses with thatched roofs, the Celtic influence.

Steve’s backpack got lost by the delivery service so we’re trying to figure out where it might be. Tomorrow is his birthday so we’re hoping that he can collect his goods and we can move on.

We had a great time again last night talking with people from all over the world. It’s pretty amazing to feel how so many people come together with a common cause. Tomorrow we reach Sarria. This is a place that a lot of people come to just do five days into Santiago in order to get their Pilgrim accomplishment certificate. I’m really excited about reaching Santiago, but also sad that this thing is moving along so quickly.

The history we have seen, the food we have had, and the relationships that have been formed will never be forgotten.

Galatian scallops are the best I’ve ever had. Still on the shell!!!
